At the moment, a national Ombuds is in place in the following countries: 

  • Benin: Dona Houansou, benin@ombuds-sos-cv.org 
  • Sierra Leone: Jotham Johnson, sierra_leone@ombuds-sos-cv.org 
  • Uruguay: María del Luján Alvarez, uruguay@ombuds-sos-cv.org

Overall, 60 member associations across all regions have begun to set up an Ombuds system in their country during 2023 and 2024. In addition, the Ombuds Office is in discussion with other member associations who are likely to begin the implementation process in 2024 or 2025.
